Mass Attendance

Dear St. Patrick Families,

Over the past several years, our Pastor, Father Ziegler, has instituted a Mass Attendance program for those students preparing to receive the Sacraments of First Penance (confession), First Holy Communion, or Confirmation. The objective of this program is to encourage student participation in Mass on Sundays (or Saturday evenings) and on Holy Days of Obligation.  Sacramental preparation normally takes place over the course of two school years, which is why the Mass Attendance program is required for students in grades 1, 2, 6 and 7.  Mass attendance is also required during the 8th grade year, until Confirmation takes place.

Simply fill out the slip and place it in the collection basket during Mass. While attending Mass, student(s) will simply place a completed slip into the collection basket. Older students MUST submit their own slips, while grades 1 and 2 may have their parent’s assistance.

If your family attends Mass at a different parish at any time, please submit a bulletin from that Catholic Church with the information above listed at the top.  (One bulletin may be turned in to include all student names.)  Simply turn in the bulletin with your family information to the Religious Education Office or to St. Patrick School with a completed Mass attendance slip attached (or clearly print student information on the front of the bulletin.)

We realize this requires an extra effort for your family and your cooperation is very much appreciated.  Our office will be happy to answer any questions you may have!  Please contact the Religious Education Office by phone or e-mail at any time.

Thank you so much!
